We are so excited to announce that K-Pod Design’s “Pod Squad” shirts are going to be prominently displayed in the Royal BC Museum Gift Shop in Victoria BC during the museum’s upcoming exhibit “Orcas: Our Shared Future” opening April 16, 2021 and running through January 9, 2022.
The exhibit is a deep-dive into the stories and science that surround the magnificent orca, spirit of BC’s wild coast and apex predator of all oceans. Follow the currents of ecological activism, popular culture and Indigenous beliefs to gain a new appreciation of these sophisticated animals, long feared in Western cultures as “Killer Whales.” Discover the complex social structure of orca society and reflect on the surprising consequences of captivity. The exhibit will share which populations are thriving and which are at risk as visitors surface with a new understanding of how orcas and humans are inextricably linked: we are all part of nature, not part from nature.
