K-Pod Designs is located in beautiful Friday Harbor and nestled in the scenic San Juan Islands of Washington State.

Our small business is the brainchild of our own little Pod, starting with Kelley Balcomb-Bartok, who grew up playing with Killer whales in his backyard--the waters surrounding the San Juan Islands since 1976--so pod seems only appropriate.

The second Pod member Carlene, the matriarch of our K-Pod, is a professional seamstress, costume designer, former Wardrobe Mistress and wedding cake designer.

Along with our two children, K-Pod Designs is a family-owned business that celebrates whales, arts, crafts, community, and creativity.
